Calling this a wooden spoon is a bit like calling Buckingham Palace a family home.  As well as its striking good looks, it is also super functional in the kitchen.  Neil Turner of Turner+Turner is an artisan who has been working in the medium of wood for over 34 years.  He resides in the south west of Western Australia and creates beautiful objects (as well as sculptures) from local timbers that are often overlooked.

What do you get when you combine Australian wine-making qualifications with European vinegar-making qualifications?  Award winning, limited-edition cold pressed vinegar, that’s what.  Aged in Oak for 3 years, this Grand Reserve Cabernet Vinegar just took out gold at the delicious produce awards.  Made lovingly in Queensland by a family-owned operation.

1 x Olsson’s Red Gum Smoked Sea Salt (90g)

Olsson’s are the oldest family-owned and operated salt company in Australia, and have been in business since 1888.  This specialty salt is made in small  batches after three years in consultation with The Bridge Room’s Ross Lusted. Australian sea salt flakes, from South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, are smoked over native river red gum (eucalyptus camaldulensis) for 72 hours in the traditional northern European style at Pialligo Estate Smokehouse, Canberra. The smoking results in a unique salt enhanced with the aromatic and complex characteristics of the Australian red gum wood.
